35th BIRTHDAY - SPORTS, SPOTS & MORE!

LESS TRADITIONAL MOMENTS ...
Sue and Bob getting percussion backing - and a helping leg up Jerry collecting hats Alun heading for an early bath
Just jump for goodness sake  Just kick him for goodness sake Harry - what did you just do to the young lady??
Cherry keeping a watchful eye on GW's 'volunteers' Lots go through GW's Mrs Casey arch .... ... nearly as magical as BB's 'Fairies' arch
CRAFT-Y ACTIVITIES ON THE BOAT TRIP
Holt assembling their Orbit Tower ... Betties assembling theirs ... ... but BB's engineer Rob has the answer - a broad base!
The finished article Flag & Bone showing size isn't important
Working hard on the flags for the later medal ceremonies, using materials carefully chosen by Bob to go with team colours -
and with Will showing previously hidden talents
Some of the finished flags - Mortimers scored extra points for a double sided one
Thanks to Fools Gambit volunteers for the BB flag!
OUTDOOR SPORTS
Tim explains the coloured water race - and remember Great Western, cheats never prosper Bettys  line up for the '2 plank' race ... ... which had several teams bemused ...
... stacking the planks with people was definitely not the answer ... ... but GW got the idea and were worthy winners ... The start of one of the Spacehopper heats ....

A wide variety of jumping styles - with hindsight the togas provided too much wind resistance
THE OLYMPIC EVENING
Your MC for the evening - Uncle Paul! With the Olympic flame lit, the cheerleaders opened the show (good 'cheer face', Lee) Fine posing, boys
'Boris' cutting the BB celebration cake ... ... for which many thanks to Linda, Bob and Sue Once cut, Boris ran through some of his classier dance moves
Pass the Olympic Ring (OK, hula hoop) over the joined line BB well on the way to coming last  One of the evening's medal ceremonies - all accompanied by tasteful team anthems
Fools Gambit's spot involved some complicated Greek ... ... and the chosen drinks of members home teams GW's  blindfolded egg and spoon race plus 'helpers' - won by the Queen
GW's sack race - though everyone's sack was sabotaged except for the Duke GW's royal family winning the tug of war (their rope being tied to an outside bollard helped) Flag and Bone's near lethal 'if I were an Olympian' spot
Holt's entry for the 'X-rated Factor' It's a 'no' from all of us - sorry, pet Mortimers musicians blending in nicely with the incidental scenery ....
... while their dancers synchronised beautifully (and hoped the sea stayed in place) After Vladimir Putin (host of next winter Olympics) receives the flame, the Russian anthem! ... followed by a Russian finale.  Of sorts.
