After that, no more events until our big November weekend, starting with the Bunfight on Saturday 25th November. A great event as always, with this year’s theme of ‘Science Fiction’ drawing the usual range of mystifying outfits. The Diatonics were again on great form, including a number of themed tunes in their repertoire for the evening such as Teslstar, Urban Spaceman etc. Interval entertainment was down to the usual standard, with Charles Dance featuring in the first break and then a Star Wars inspired Charleston dance in the second.
The following day was the Wokingham Winter Carnival, which seemed a bigger event than ever this year, taking over the whole of the town centre. We had spots in Elms Field and Denmark Street, and a post lunch spot in Peach place which also featured Wokingham’s own previously hidden Bulgarian Dance Troupe which some of the team finished up joining in with.
